From November 8 to December 1, one of the most famous festivals in the state, the Xmatkuil Fair, will take place. The organizing committee is preparing the best in entertainment to attract visitors to this traditional fair. With a wide variety of shows to celebrate the 50th anniversary of this important cultural, livestock, and gastronomic event, this year will feature the state of Chiapas as a special guest.
The fair also features a variety of performances at its main stage, including childrens shows, theater, folkloric dances, comedians, local artists, and national groups. It was announced that the Gran Vaquería will return by popular demand, as well as the continuation of school visits.
The list of events will feature performances by internationally renowned artists, including free shows at the Montejo Entertainment Center, where artists such as Inna, Fuerza Régida, Santa Fe Klan, Los Recoditos, Panteón Rococó, Los Ángeles Azules, Los Esquivel, La Casetera, Grupo Picus, Kapó, Manuel Turizo, El Tri, María José, and La Arrolladora Banda Limón de René Camacho, who will perform on the closing day, will be featured. If you are planning to attend with friends or family, we are sharing the information regarding prices, hours, and transportation for the Xmatkuil Fair. The entrance ticket to the fairground costs $30.00 pesos, and parking is $40.00 pesos. Discounts are available for people with disabilities or senior citizens with INAPAM credentials. The Xmatkuil Fair opens its doors to the public at 8 AM every day. The closing time is 3 AM from Monday to Thursday, and from Friday to Sunday, the Yucatán Fair closes all its entrances at 4 AM.
If youre wondering how to get to the fair located in the Mérida district of Xmatkuil, you can drive there via Calle 50 Sur. From other points in Mérida, you can access it via the Periférico Ring Road until it connects with this road. From downtown Mérida, the bus station is located on Calle 54 between 69 and 67, right by the San Benito market, with departures starting at 5 AM until 3 or 4 AM. From there, the Ruta 10 Xmatkuil and 510 Xmatkuil Exprés buses leave. The service hours for these routes will run until the early morning, from Tuesday to Thursday until 3 AM, and from Friday to Monday until 4 AM. From Monday to Thursday, the Xmatkuil Exprés route will only operate from 6 PM to 3 AM.
